Description
Garesio's Langhe Nebbiolo was born in the Langa, in Serralunga d'Alba in the province of Cuneo. In 2010 the Garesio family bought 20 hectares which they dedicated to viticulture, divided between Serralunga d'Alba, Incisa Scapaccino and Castelnuovo Calcea in Monferrato and Perletto in Alta Langa.
The wine is made up exclusively of Nebbiolo grapes, vinified with maceration on the skins at a low temperature for approx. 25 days, with pumping over and délestage. The wine then ages in 25-50 hl barrels for 12 months with subsequent passage in cement tanks.
Brilliant ruby red in colour, the nose reveals a bouquet of violet and wild strawberry, with hints of pink pepper. The sip is fresh and agile, with fine tannins and a savory finish.
The wine goes very well with cured meats, Bra sausage, stuffed pasta seasoned with meat sauce.
