Description
Langhe Nebbiolo is produced by Fratelli Barale, a winery that has been producing wine in the municipality of Barolo since the end of the 19th century. Today Eleonora and Gloria Barale lead the company.
The grapes are normally harvested at the beginning of October, to then be destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated steel tanks and with indigenous yeasts, while maceration on the skins lasts about 10 days. The wine then ages for 12 months in tonneaux and 6 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in colour, the wine has aromas of rose, violet, wisteria and small red fruits on the nose. The sip is dry, rightly tannic and full-bodied.
This Langhe Nebbiolo goes very well with creamed risottos, with light fried vegetables and white meats and with fondue.
