Description
The Langhe DOC Rosso Long Now, coming from the Tolino farm in the municipalities of Treiso and Neviglie, is a refined blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera. Conceived to enhance the potential of relatively old plants, it combines the acidic freshness of Barbera with the aroma and tannic strength of Nebbiolo.
Winemaking is separate for the two varieties, with macerations ranging from 10 to 25 days, followed by fermentation and decantation in steel, and aging for 15/18 months in small oak barrels. Before bottling, the wine is blended and left to rest for another 10/12 months in the bottle.
The wine has a bluish-purple red color, almost black, with intense aromas of very ripe fruit such as blackberry, raspberry and red cherry, enriched by barely perceptible vanilla notes. When tasted, the Langhe DOC Rosso Long Now reveals itself to be full, velvety and enveloping, best expressing the flavor and elegance of the two varieties. Its complexity and structure promise considerable aging potential.
This wine is particularly suitable for accompanying red meat dishes and mature cheeses, enhancing every meal with its rich complexity and pleasant taste.
