Japanese Blended Whisky Meïsei
Summary
- n. 1 Akashi Meïsei Whisky, 50 cl
- n. 2 Whiskey Glasses
Description
Akashi Meïsei , which means "celebrity" in Japanese, is the limited version of Blended Whisky. The White Oak distillery was founded in 1888 but has only been producing whiskey in a traditional way and in small quantities since 1919. The actual distillation process began in 1984, the year in which the company built a new factory
It consists of grain whiskey and single malt whiskey aged in American white oak barrels for 3-4 years. With a light amber appearance, it opens on deep sensations of barley malt, oak and vanilla, which insist on a floral background. On the palate it is soft, rounded and spicy, with references to vanilla and oak which also recur in the finish.
Serve neat.
