Summary
- n. 1 Akashi Meïsei Whisky, 50 cl
- n. 2 Whiskey glasses
Description
Akashi Meïsei , which means "celebrity" in Japanese, is the limited version of Blended Whisky. The White Oak distillery was founded in 1888 but has only been producing whisky in the traditional way and in small quantities since 1919. The actual distillation process began in 1984, when the company built a new facility.
It is composed of grain whiskies and single malt whiskies aged in American white oak barrels for 3-4 years. Light amber in appearance, it opens with deep sensations of barley malt, oak and vanilla, which persist on a floral background. On the palate it is soft, round and spicy, with hints of vanilla and oak that also recur in the finish.
Serve straight.
