Description

Jonty's Ducks Pekin Red is an organic wine made with a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot made in the South African Paarl region.

The vines have an average age of 13 years and are grown with great attention to sustainability. The grapes are hand-picked, de-stemmed and fermented in steel. After a post-fermentation period and after malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in French oak barrels for a minimum period of 12 months.

Of a beautiful ruby red with garnet reflections, it releases notes of blackberry, licorice, dark chocolate and coffee beans on the nose. On the palate it is a real explosion of ripe fruit, very enveloping and fleshy, with elegant and silky tannins that anticipate a long and consistent finish.

Ideal to accompany red meats and stews, it can also be served in combination with tasty platters of cold cuts and cheeses.
