Description
This Pinot Grigio from Borgo Conventi is produced with Pinot Grigio grapes grown on flat vineyards characterized by clayey and skeletal soil. The microclimate of the area is influenced by mild winters and hot summers, with the Alps to the north protecting the vineyards from cold winds.
The vinification involves the immediate pressing of the grapes, avoiding maceration on the skins. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with selected yeasts and at a controlled temperature. The wine is then refined in steel until the following spring, when it is bottled to preserve its freshness and aromatic integrity.
It has a straw yellow color and slightly coppery reflections. On the nose it is fragrant and characteristic, with delicate aromas of white flowers and honeysuckle that evolve into fruity hints of ripe pear, accompanied by a note of bread crust and yeasts. On the palate it is fine, fresh and harmonious, with a good structure and flavor.
This white wine pairs perfectly with fried vegetables, baked fish, pasta with vegetables and parmesan.
