Description
The Sobi red wine is produced by the Bentu Luna company, located in the historical regions of Mandrolisai Barigadu, in the heart of Sardinia. Both white and red wines come mostly from historic vineyards between 35 and 120 years of age. The grapes come from vineyards located in the municipality of Neoneli.
The wine is mainly composed of Bovale, Cannonau, Pascale grapes with small additions of other local red vines. The grapes are destemmed to start the fermentation via pied de cuve in cement tanks, which lasts 3 weeks. The wine is then aged for 8 months in second passage oak barriques.
Intense ruby red in colour, the wine reveals aromas of red fruit and spice notes to the nose. The sip is soft, with a persistent finish.
This wine is excellent to accompany roast pork, grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
