Description

The Pala winery represents a splendid family business, which produces quality wines, true ambassadors of the Sardinian land. The estate was founded in the 1950s and is now managed by the third generation, which continues with passion to cultivate the vineyards of Serdiana and Ussana, in the hilly area of the Cagliari hinterland.

The red S'Arai is born from an assembly of native Sardinian grapes, Cannonau, Carignano and Bovale, coming from vineyards of about 80 years of age, located in the area of Tanca s'Arai di Serdiana. The soils are poor and draining, with a calcareous clayey matrix, with an abundant presence of skeleton. The vines are vinified separately, with fermentation in stainless steel vats and maceration on the skins. The wine ages for a few months in steel and then for about 10 months in French oak barrels.

Intense ruby red color, it conquers with aromas of red berried fruits, cherries, berries and hints of spice. On the palate it has ripe tannins, a harmonious, rich and persistent sip.

To be combined with roast beef, game.
