Description

The Isola dei Nuraghi Montessu of Agripunica was born in vineyards located in the lower Sulcis, in the south-western part of Sardinia.

It is mainly produced with Carignano grapes and Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand, between the second half of September and mid-October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25-30 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 15 months in French oak barrels, before being bottled.

It has a dark and deep ruby red color. The nose opens with intense aromas of cherry and black raspberry, enriched with notes of rosemary and licorice. On the palate it is full and elegant, pleasantly concentrated, with soft and velvety tannins.

Perfect to accompany rich first courses and red meats, this red wine is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
