Description
Irpinia Falanghina Le Mattine di Fonzone is obtained from 100% Falanghina grapes grown on the Tenuta Fonzone in Paternopoli. The vineyard is located on sandy-clayey soils with north-east exposure.
The vinification involves manual selection of the bunches, followed by long and short macerations in amphora and steel and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures for about a month. At the end of fermentation, the masses are assembled and refined in steel for 8 months at temperatures below zero, on fine yeasts.
It has an intense straw yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, fruity hints emerge that recall ripe yellow apple, white peach pulp, broom flowers, and a light citrus accent, enriched by notes of brioche bread. On the palate, the wine is fresh and structured, characterized by a pleasant roundness, balance, and flavors reminiscent of dry pastries.
This wine pairs well with vegetable risottos, seafood and white meats.
