Description
The Irpinia Aglianico Le Campore 1870 by Rocca del Principe comes from the Campore area, in the municipality of Lapio. The vineyards are located on clayey-limestone soils with a favorable southern exposure for the ripening of Aglianico grapes.
The manual harvest takes place in the first ten days of November. The fermentation of the must takes place in steel tanks with maceration of the skins for 15 days. Aging follows in French oak barriques for 12 months, which helps refine the aromatic profile of the wine.
Visually it presents a deep ruby red color. On the nose, the bouquet is broad and complex, with predominant hints of black cherry, ripe plum, spices and balsamic notes that create an excellent olfactory harmony. In the mouth, it is full and warm, dynamic and well balanced by tannins, culminating in a long and persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with robust first courses, appetizers and cured meats, as well as red meat dishes, making it an ideal companion for a rich and varied table.
