Description
Mastroberardino's Aglianico Redimore Irpinia DOC tells the intense and passionate soul of a land that has always been dedicated to the production of wine: Campania. In that corner of the region called Irpinia, the cellar bottles its own labels, as varied as the colors of their land.
It represents the full expression of the red king of Irpinia, Aglianico, who appears as the unique protagonist of this wine. The grapes are harvested at the Mirabella Eclano estate, where the company cultivates the clones of Aglianico recovered through a careful selection of centenary vineyards on a firm footing. The Aglianico Redimore originates from the two biotypes that bear the name of Antonio Mastroberardino. Towards the end of October, the grapes are harvested, fermented with long macerations and aged for 12 months in barrique, to then conclude with a further 6 months of maturation in the bottle.
The ruby red hue is intense, like its complex perfume that brings back the red fruit, strawberry and raspberry. The toasted texture of tobacco, coffee and cocoa emerges on a sweetly spiced background. The taste is equally intense, with excellent structure and alcohol content, which determine a full and soft sip.
Perfect to combine with game and red meats. Try it in the company of stewed lamb chops.
