Description

Irpinia Campi Taurasini di Fonzone comes to life from the Aglianico vineyard located along two sides of a hill with excellent sun exposure and ventilation, characterized by clayey soils. The very low yields ensure a high quality raw material.

The harvest begins only once the grapes have reached the perfect degree of ripeness and are processed scrupulously in order to preserve the most typical characteristics of the variety. The must ferments in steel and macerates on the skins for 15-20 days. It is then aged for 12 months in first and second passage French oak barriques.

It has a brilliant ruby red color. The olfactory picture is all played on sensations of violet, raspberry and cinnamon. In the mouth the entrance is warm and soft, with a fine tannin that helps to give momentum and persistence.

Try it on roasts, aged cheeses and truffles, it is ideal in the company of medium-spiced dishes.
