Description

Irpinia Aglianico DOC belonging to the crus of the Linea di Pregio di Nativ, the Blue Onyx comes from a single vineyard at 600 meters above sea level, in the Irpino municipality of Gesualdo, on a rocky terrain located near an ancient onyx quarry whose stones extracted, they are characterized by a yellow color and unique blue streaks that give the wine its name.

The harvest of only Aglianico grapes takes place between the end of October and the first days of November. After a pre-maceration phase carried out at low temperatures, it follows a fermentation with maceration of about 20 days. The wine ages for 14 months in French oak barrels.

Wine with a ruby red color, it cheers the nose with pleasant spicy notes and Maiatica cherry from Taurasi. In the mouth it is soft and fruity, with great balance.

Ideal in combination with grilled meats, it is perfect with blue cheeses.
