Description
Amarano's Aglianico RossoMalpelo represents an excellent example of how the Aglianico grape can express great character and conviviality. The grapes are grown in vineyards located at 500 meters above sea level in the Irpinia region in Campania.
The careful vinification takes place in steel with a maturation of approximately 12 months in the same material, followed by approximately 8 months of rest in the bottle to further enhance its fruity notes.
It has an intense ruby red color and offers the nose an aromatic and full bouquet, with delicate hints of red fruit, in particular black cherry, enriched by a light spiciness. On the palate it reveals a softness well balanced by a strong harmony and freshness, with taste returns of ripe fruit and a good persistence.
This wine pairs perfectly with mature cheeses and stewed meats.
