Description
Aglianico di Taurasi Taurì is a Campania wine made 100% from Aglianico grapes. The vineyards, located in the municipality of Taurasi, grow on the clayey-calcareous soil typical of the area.
The harvest takes place by hand, between the end of October and the first weeks of November. The grapes are then de-stemmed, crushed and subjected to fermentation. Aging takes place in French oak barriques for 6-8 months.
With a brilliant ruby red color, this wine has aromas of small red and black fruits on the nose, a spicy note (black pepper) and green pepper. In the mouth it has a robust taste and well perceptible tannins. The finish is quite long and aromatic.
The wine is drunk in combination with savory meat dishes and important cooking, such as roasts, braised meats and spit-roasted meats.
