Description
Glendronach 15 YO Revival is an exceptional Scotch whisky, produced in the Eastern Highlands. After a three-year hiatus, this wonderful whiskey returned to production in 2018, with the name "Revival" testifying to its return to the distillery's main range. Glendronach, founded in 1826 by James Allardice, is renowned for its distinctive style and long tradition of aging in ex-sherry Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks from Andalusia.
The production of Glendronach 15 YO Revival follows traditional methods that enhance the unique characteristics of the whisky. After distillation, the whiskey is aged in ex-sherry Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez barrels, which give complexity and depth to the final product. This careful aging process ensures a rich and well-structured flavor profile, maintaining Glendronach's distinctive style.
On the nose, Glendronach 15 YO Revival offers a heady bouquet of cherry, mint, dark chocolate and hints of bitterness. On the palate, notes of honey-glazed apricot, ripe fig, black cherry, angelica and muscovado sugar stand out. The finish is long and enveloping, with hints of coffee, pipe tobacco and nutmeg, which create a unique and persistent taste experience.
This whiskey is ideal to be enjoyed pure or with a little water, to fully appreciate its aromatic and flavor nuances, offering a unique experience for lovers of high quality whisky.
