Description

E. Guigal's Ermitage "Ex-Voto" Blanc is a white wine of extraordinary aromatic complexity. Produced only in exceptional years, this wine features aromas of acacia flowers, honey and toasted notes. The vines benefit from meticulous care from vineyard to cellar, embodying the inspiration and legacy of centuries of viticulture on an exceptional terroir.

The wine is made up of 90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne, coming from vines aged between 50 and 90 years. The winemaking takes place exclusively in small new oak barrels, with 100% malolactic fermentation. The refinement lasts 30 months in new oak barrels, giving the wine a rich and complex structure.

At sight, the Ermitage "Ex-Voto" Blanc presents itself with a bright and clear straw yellow colour. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of white flowers, hawthorn and acacia honey. On the palate, it offers remarkable richness and roundness, with a very marked expression of the terroir that supports the harmony between a delicate and very expressive nose and a fleshy fruit in the mouth.

This wine pairs perfectly with powerful, flavorful dishes such as lobster thermidor and veal fillet with morel sauce.
