Description
Chateau Malescasse Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Haut Medoc is a prestigious red wine from the renowned Bordeaux region, where pedo-climatic conditions play a fundamental role in the quality of the wine. This blend of Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Petit Verdot makes use of soils made up of gravelly terraces of Pyrenean origin, dating back to the Quaternary period. Meticulous care of the soil, through both mechanical and traditional practices, contributes to the structure and microbial activity necessary for the development of the vineyard.
The harvest takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October. The vinification follows careful and precise methods: vertical destemming, densimetric selection, vinification by gravity in small wooden and concrete tanks, without pressing and with the use of active dry yeasts suited to the characteristics of the vintage. Fermentation lasts 3 to 4 weeks, with a delicate and selective tannic extraction, followed by soft pressing.
This wine has a ruby red color. On the nose, it offers an inviting bouquet, with notes of strawberry, liquorice, blackberry and blackcurrant. In the mouth, it reveals delicate and voluminous aromas, a silky texture and a long finish that lets woody and fruity notes emerge.
It is the ideal companion for robust dishes such as stewed meats, meat sauce and game. Its structure and complexity make it perfect for pairing with dishes rich in intense flavours, where it can best express its character.
