Description
La Closerie de Malescasse is the second wine of the château of the same name, made with the same care as the first wine, constituting a less demanding alternative to it, while retaining its distinctive characteristics. The original vineyard is located in Lamarque, on the border with Margaux and Saint-Julien and close to the Gironde estuary, in an exceptional terroir.
Produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, it is the result of fermentation in stainless steel at a temperature between 26 and 28°C. Once the malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine ages for 10 months in oak barrels.
A ruby red wine tending towards garnet, it displays a delicate and fresh bouquet on the nose, made up of notes of red fruits, among which raspberry and currant stand out, supported by toasted and chocolate aromas. On the palate it is soft and lively, with a robust finish.
Perfect to serve with light red meats, semi-mature cheeses and mushroom dishes.
