Description
The Château de Camensac, located in the heart of Haut-Médoc, is recognized for its classification as Grand Cru Classé en 1855, symbol of the excellence of Bordeaux wines. With a property of 75 hectares, the vineyard is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, planted on soils rich in deep gravel, mixed with clay and pebbles, which give the wines unique characteristics of depth, fruit, elegance and minerality.
The entire production process, from the careful care of the vineyard to the winemaking, reflects the Château's commitment to excellence and the authentic expression of the terroir. The collaboration with consultant oenologist Michel Rolland further highlights the orientation towards quality and innovation in wine production. The primary fermentation of Château de Camensac takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by maturation in oak barriques for 17-20 months, with a share of new barriques around 40%.
Château de Camensac stands out for its notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, cedar and tobacco leaf, enriched with nuances of spices and herbs. The palate is characterized by a long finish, with a freshness that gives the wine notable liveliness.
As for culinary pairings, Château de Camensac pairs beautifully with meat-based dishes, particularly beef. This combination allows you to enhance both the richness of the wine and the succulence of the meat, creating a harmonious and satisfying gastronomic experience.
