Description

The Syrah of the Conte Guicciardini company is made with 100% Syrah grapes and expresses all the potential of this grape in the Tuscan area.

The grapes come from soils composed mainly of alberese and, once they arrive in the cellar and de-stemmed, ferment in vats at a controlled temperature. After maceration for 15–18 days, the wines are aged in vats and for 12 months in French oak barrels. Bottle ageing for at least 3 months follows.

It has a bright, intense and brilliant purple colour, giving the nose the typical spicy aromas of the variety accompanied by red and black fruits in jam. Great roundness and elegance on the palate, with balanced tannins and a fruity and intriguing finish.

To be paired with cold cuts and cheeses, it is perfect with Bolognese pasta and lasagna.
