Description
Greco di Tufo Chianchetelle is produced by Feudi di San Gregorio, one of the largest and most successful wineries in Campania, which produces both white and red wines in Irpinia, a historic region of the Campania Apennines in the province of Avellino. The "Feudistudi" line is a limited edition that comes every year from grapes from the most expressive vineyards selected from the 800 vineyards available to the company.
The wine is made up exclusively of Greco grapes, which are pressed and fermented in steel at 18-20°C, without carrying out the malolactic fermentation. The wine thus obtained ages in steel on the fine lees for 8-10 months, with weekly bâtonnage, followed by 12-18 months in the bottle.
This wine has a straw yellow color with golden reflections, revealing aromas of white fruit such as apple and pear on the nose, followed by candied citron, corn and walnuts. The sip is dry and fresh, with a long finish.
Ideal to taste with penne alla corsara and grilled squid.
