Description
The Grands Échezeaux Grand Cru of the Domaine Gros Frères et Soeur, among the most important names of the Côte de Nuits, in Burgundy. It is obtained entirely from Pinot Noir grapes, harvested in a plot adjacent to the famous Clos de Vougeot.
The grapes, harvested exclusively by hand towards the end of October, undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel. The wine then matures in new barrels for 15 months, acquiring complexity and structure, and then refines for a further 6 months in the bottle.
Characterized by a bright red colour, it evokes delicate hints of cherry and cocoa beans on the nose, which with aging are enriched with notes of undergrowth, truffle and leather. On the palate, noble tannins blend harmoniously with the structure of the wine, guaranteeing a long and satisfying finish.
Perfect in combination with roasts and medium-aged cheeses.
