Description
Primitivo Polvanera 17 comes from the Montevella vineyards, located in Acquaviva delle Fonti in the Gioia del Colle area, in Puglia. This wine is obtained from 100% Primitivo grapes grown with the Apulian bush system, on deep silt-clay soils.
The manual harvest is carried out in the first ten days of September. The vinification involves alcoholic fermentation and maceration in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Then the wine ages for 24 months in steel and for a further 12 months in the bottle, guaranteeing a perfect aromatic and gustatory evolution.
At sight it presents an intense purple red with ruby reflections. On the nose it opens with a rich bouquet of berries, blackberry and plum, accompanied by floral notes of rose and vegetal nuances such as tea leaf. On the palate this wine is austere and elegant, with smooth tannins and a vibrant mineral freshness that accompanies towards a long finish.
It pairs perfectly with grilled or stewed red meats, roasts and mature cheeses.
