Description

The Gioia del Colle Primitivo 14 of Polvanera was born in vineyards, organically run, located in the municipality of Gioia del Colle in the heart of the homonymous DOC.

It is produced exclusively with Primitivo grapes, harvested and selected by hand in the third week of September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C, for 2 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages for 24 months in steel and for another 12 months in bottle before being released on the market.

It has a ruby red color, with intense garnet reflections. The nose opens with enveloping aromas of plum, cherry and ripe plum, enriched with notes of thyme, tobacco and licorice. On the palate it is full and balanced, with soft tannins that accompany a long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany first courses and red meats, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
