Description

Falernum was born in the 19th century in Barbados, from a blend of rum, fruit and local spices, to be drunk as a tonic simply diluted with ice or to soften the rums of the past, decidedly more violent than those we are used to today. During Prohibition Donn The Beachcomber, the creator of the exotic Tiki cocktails, began to use it in his drinks finally making it an irreplaceable ingredient. The bartenders of Rita & Cocktails of Milan together with the Compagnia dei Caribbean today create a Falernum of artisanal quality, the Mr. Three & Bros, consisting of Caribbean white rum, dark rum, ginger, spices, bitter almond, lime, lemons and sugar.

Appearance the color is deep yellow and cloudy. On the nose the notes of ginger and bitter almond stand out, joined by sinuous hints of lime. The taste is strong, pleasantly fresh and persistent.

An obligatory ingredient in Tiki, it surprises in the company of bitters and citrus-based distillates, bringing its characteristic and fragrant hint of ginger as a dowry.
