Description
M. Chapoutier's Gigondas was born in vineyards located in the southern part of the famous wine region of the Rhone Valley.
It is mainly produced with Grenache grapes and Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in part in oak barrels, to then be combined with the rest of the wine and continue aging in steel for a total of 12-16 months.
M. Chapoutier's Gigondas has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with enveloping and refined aromas of strawberry jam, enriched with pleasant peppery notes. On the palate it is tannic and spicy, with a good structure.
Perfect to accompany roasts and grilled meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
