Description

The Gigondas Arcane IX l'Hermite by Xavier Vignon is a wine produced with a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Muscardin and Picpoul Noir. The grapes come from more than 25 parcels located on the terraces of the Dentelles de Montmirail in the appellation, including century-old Grenache vines and ancient local vines.

The Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes are co-fermented in concrete tanks, while the Muscardin and Picpoul Noir grapes are vinified in unheated barrels. The refinement takes place in truncated wooden barrels using the Vinarium® technique, where the barriques are immersed in a wooden foudre full of wine.

The wine has an intense red color, with aromas of blackberries, spices and Provençal herbs, enriched by fine woody notes. On the palate it is elegant and slim, with fine, silky tannins and subtle smoky aromas in the finish.

It pairs perfectly with roast meat dishes or tasty stews.
