Description
Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is a Pinot Noir produced with manually harvested and selected grapes, coming from an east-facing area under the Château de Brochon. The region's deep soils help create very fruity wines.
Maceration lasts 3-4 weeks, followed by aging for 16-18 months in French oak barrels, of which approximately 40% are new.
The wine has a bright red color and a bouquet of strawberry, blackberry, violet, rose, liquorice and leather. On the palate it is complete and powerful, with a solid structure of tannins.
Ideal with game, beef, braised lamb and spicy cheeses, it offers a rich and complex tasting experience.
