Description

The Gevrey-Chambertin de La Reine Pédauque is born north of the Côte de Nuits, from calcareous and marly soils, exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes.

The vinification involves a long fermentation in thermo-conditioned steel with a short post-fermentation maceration. Aging takes place in oak barrels for 10-12 months, 40% new.

Ruby red of great intensity and depth, it has a broad and complex nose, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, licorice and cocoa well interpenetrated. The gustatory structure is refined and elegant, with soft and dense tannins that guide towards a long fruity finish.

It is recommended with a roast lamb or beef steak. It is enhanced with a duck breast, savory cheeses or game-based dishes.
