Description
Louis Jadot's Gevrey-Chambertin comes from the far north of the Côte de Nuits, an example of high-quality Pinot Noir. With 26 Premiers Crus and 8 Grands Crus, this area is renowned for its ability to produce wines with exceptional structure and deep aromatic complexity.
The winemaking takes place through fermentation of the destemmed grapes in tanks for 3 to 4 weeks, followed by aging for 18 months in oak barriques which contributes to enriching the wine with complex nuances and well-integrated tannins.
The color is ruby red, releasing intense aromas of ripe red fruits, such as blackberries and cherries, alongside nuances of liquorice and wet earth, which reflect the richness of the terroir. These aromas evolve into a structured and robust palate, where smooth tannins and a well-balanced freshness lead to a persistent, spicy finish.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses.
