Description
The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques from Domaine Bruno Clair is a fine red wine from the Burgundy area. Produced exclusively with Pinot Noir grapes, it grows in a single hectare vineyard on clay-limestone soil, with a favorable east/south-east exposure which contributes to its uniqueness.
Winemaking involves the use of partly whole grapes, subjected to a 10-15 day maceration in wood, a method that enhances the character and intensity of the fruit. The wine is aged for a period of 18-20 months in partially new oak barrels.
This wine has a ruby red color. Predominant hints of red fruits emerge on the nose which anticipate a complex and deep taste, with a beautiful length, a sign of a well-structured and harmonious wine.
It goes beautifully with red meat main courses and game-based recipes.
