Description

Gavi Pisé comes from the homonymous cru which is one of the oldest vineyards owned by La Raia. Located on a promontory facing south, it has over time proved to be a particularly suitable place for the cultivation of the native Cortese vine.

The bunches are selected on the plant, then subjected to a soft pressing. The must ferments for a period of 20-25 days in controlled temperature conditions. It is bottled after a stay on the lees of at least 20 months in steel tanks.

Pale straw yellow with light greenish veins, it offers a wide and intense aromatic bouquet to the nose, with floral scents accompanied by notes of ripe pear and apple. In the mouth it is rich and harmonious, rightly savoury, with a warm finish of beautiful persistence.

Excellent to serve with all fish-based dishes, but also with vegetable risotto and medium-aged cheeses.
