Description

Gattinara di Antoniolo is a Nebbiolo from Northern Piedmont, produced in the surroundings of the municipality which gives its name to the denomination.

The grapes are harvested from vineyards with an age that, in some cases, exceeds 40 years. Following maceration and fermentation, the wine ages in large barrels for a period ranging from 18 to 30 months. The maturation process is completed by a stop in the bottle for a few months before bottling.

At sight it is ruby red, intense and brilliant. The perfume is reminiscent of red fruits, violets and a varied spicy outfit. The aroma of the sip confirms the olfactory tract and gives thickness through a good structure. The tannin is pronounced but never unpleasant, perfectly integrated with the fresh vein. Leaves a hint of raspberry and black pepper.

Ideal in the company of first courses, it is perfect with a plate of stewed sausages.
