Description

The Refoscolo dal Peduncolo Rosso by La di Motte is an oenological jewel born from the meeting of fertile lands on the border between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italian regions renowned for their rich viticultural tradition. The name "La di Motte", with "Motte" indicating small rises in the land and "La di" meaning "at home" in Friulian dialect, invites enthusiasts to explore this wine excellence that reflects the unique geography and culture of the territory.

The Refoscolo grapes, harvested slightly beyond optimal ripeness, undergo scrupulous vinification which includes destemming followed by approximately 15 days of maceration. This process allows maximum color and structure to be extracted from the fruit. The fermentations, both alcoholic and malolactic, take place in barrels at a controlled temperature of 25-27°C, ensuring the maximum expression of the grape variety and terroir.

The wine has an intense red color with violet reflections. On the nose, aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants and blackberries emerge, enriched by a light spiciness that adds complexity. In the mouth, the Refoscolo is robust but elegantly clean, offering an intriguing balance between the softness of the tannins and the fresh minerality.

This wine pairs beautifully with red meats and medium- and long-aged cheeses.
