Description
The Ronco della Torre di Torre Rosazza red wine was born in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, in the province of Udine. Torre Rosazza's philosophy is to produce fresh and contemporary Friulian wines, the result of meticulous care of the vineyards and attention to preserving the peculiar characteristics of each single variety.
Ronco della Torre is a blend of 2 vines: Pignolo, a typical red grape from Friuli, and Merlot, an international red grape. The grapes are harvested overripe and vinified separately in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After blending, the wine ages for 24 months in French oak barriques on the noble lees. This is followed by at least 6 months in the bottle before being marketed.
Ruby red in color with violet reflections, it opens to the nose with fruity notes of blackberry, blueberry, morello cherry and balsamic hints. The sip is balanced and with a good structure, with a persistent finish.
Perfect in the company of tasty first courses and red meats.
