Description

The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso produced by the Castello di Buttrio company is made with 100% grapes and falls within the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC appellation.

From terraced land composed of marl and sandstone come the grapes that are destemmed before macerating in contact with the skins for a variable period. After the fermentation at a controlled temperature, the malolactic fermentation follows and the ageing is carried out in steel for at least 11 months before bottling.

Brilliant ruby red in colour, it has hints of undergrowth on the nose with currant and blueberry finished with cardamom notes. On the palate, it is lively and bright, with balanced tannins and good freshness for a balanced and intense finish.

Ideal to accompany game and aged cheeses.
