Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Pignolo 2011 Tenuta di Angoris
Description
The Friuli Colli Orientali Pignolo of the Tenuta di Angoris was born in vineyards located in Stabili della Rocca, in the municipality of Cormòns, the capital of Friuli wine.
It is produced exclusively with Pignolo grapes, an autochthonous Friulian grape of great personality. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 14 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in tonneaux for 48 months and rests for 12 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
It is characterized by a garnet red color. The nose opens with a complex and intriguing bouquet, with pleasant spicy notes of leather, cloves, cocoa and liqueur. On the palate it is intense and robust, pleasantly velvety and with a spicy aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
