Description
Cormòns Friuli Cabernet Sauvignon was born in a microclimate characterized by a special balance, due to the effect of the mountains that protect the Friuli plain from the north winds and the mitigating effect of the sea.
It is produced with carefully selected grapes, harvested between the third decade of September and the first days of October. A 20-day maceration is carried out, after which fermentation begins in steel and is completed in oak barrels. The wine ages for over a year in large oak barrels.
It shows an intense and brilliant red colour, with light garnet nuances. Herbaceous aromas appear on the nose, combined with notes of ripe wild fruits and dried plums. In the mouth it is complex, structured, characterized by a softness that supports spicy aromas of cloves and cinnamon.
Recommended in combination with first courses with game ragout and grilled meats, it is an excellent accompaniment to a good platter of aged cheeses.
