Freisa di Chieri Superiore DOC Vigna Villa della Regina 2014 Balbiano

The Freisa di Chieri Superiore Vigna Villa della Regina di Balbiano was born in the homonymous vineyard, located in Andezeno, in the province of Turin.

It is produced entirely with Freisa grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. After a soft pressing, the must ferments for a long time in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After a short period of aging in French oak tonneaux, the wine ages for a long time in the bottle, before being marketed.

Vigna Villa della Regina is characterized by a ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens with elegant hints of ripe red fruit, including cherry and raspberry. On the palate it is dry and enveloping, pleasantly soft, with rather fine tannins and an aromatic persistence of small red fruits.

Perfect to accompany tasty first courses, this red wine is ideal in combination with red meats and game.
