Description
The vineyards from which the People of Poggio alle Volpi originate are located within the Frascati countryside, within the homonymous denomination. The land where they live is made up of red earth of volcanic origin particularly rich in trace elements.
The Malvasia di Candia and Trebbiano grapes undergo a short maceration followed by a soft pressing. The must is then refrigerated and left to settle for a day, then sent to fermentation at low temperature at the end of which the wine makes a short aging in contact with its yeasts.
It assumes a light and bright straw yellow color in the glass. The nose has fine aromas of fruit, pear, green apple and grapes above all, blending with strong notes of white flowers and freshly mown grass. On the palate it is fresh and savory, with hints that follow the olfactory imprint and lead to a long-lasting finish.
Excellent as an aperitif or to accompany seafood appetizers and risotto, it is enhanced with vegetable soups and Thai chicken.
