Description

Epos di Poggio le Volpi was born in the vineyards located in Frascati, in the Colle Pisano area at 300 meters above sea level. The name evokes what in ancient Greek means "word", but also "song, story" and this is exactly what it represents: the story of an emotion. Born from a soil of red earth of volcanic origin rich in microelements, the hand-picked grapes are subjected to a soft pressing. Ferment in 40 hectoliters oak vats at controlled temperature, then on the lees in wood and steel. It has a total maturation of 12 months, of which at least 3 in the bottle before marketing.

The color is intense straw yellow with golden reflections and excellent consistency. The nose releases intense aromas of tropical fruit, which then turn on the sweet almond and hazelnuts, orange blossom flowers, aromatic herbs and mineral sensations. In the mouth it is fruity and floral, very soft, supported by great sapidity and freshness with very long mineral and fruity persistence

It goes well with medium-structured first courses, white meats, baked fish, fresh and medium-aged cheeses. Absolutely to try with spaghetti carbonara and first courses with white sauces of Roman cuisine.
