Description
Boekenhoutskloof's Porcupine Ridge Rosé is an excellent example of the quality that the Coastal Region can offer. A wine that stands out for its elegance and ability to represent the characteristics of the terroir of origin.
Its production begins with a careful selection of Cinsault and Syrah grapes. These are vinified following the saignée method, which allows for optimal extraction of the aroma-rich juice before fermentation. The cold decantation process precedes fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts, guaranteeing maximum varietal expression and the preservation of aromatic notes.
At sight it presents an intriguing coppery color. The nose is inviting and earthy, with a splendid opening onto aromas of red cherry, tomato leaf and delicate acacia flowers. In the mouth, the wine reveals a round and fruity structure, characterized by remarkable elegance. The notes of wild strawberries, pomegranate and star anise intertwine in a clean and dry finish, confirming the complexity and finesse of this rosé.
This wine goes beautifully with cured meats and pizza. Also excellent as an aperitif.
