Description

L ' Extrême belongs to the Palazzo Lana line of exclusive Franciacorta reserves of the Berlucchi sparkling wine house.

It is the result of Pinot Noir grapes from the vineyards owned by Quindicipiò and Brolo in Borgonato, harvested in the second ten days of August. After a soft squeezing of the grapes, only the free-run must ferments in steel, then the wine is transferred to oak barrels where it remains for at least 6 months. The sparkling process takes place by refermentation in the bottle according to the Classic Method, followed by aging for at least 7 years on the lees, a period in which the bubble develops a rare elegance and extreme longevity.

It is characterized by an intense straw yellow color with coppery reflections, a very minute perlage and an abundant and persistent foam. On the nose it expresses a rich aromatic range that consists of hints of exotic fruit, peach and candied orange, followed by characteristic notes of bread crust. On the palate it is fresh and structured, harmonious and mineral.

Vintage for the whole meal, it goes well with appetizers, fish, white meats and medium-aged cheeses.
