Description
Fiorano Rosso is produced from clusters of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot harvested from 20-year-old organic vines that arise on volcanic soils of pozzolanic matrix at an altitude of 130 meters above sea level with north-west and south-east exposure.
The harvest takes place manually in boxes during the third decade of September. The must is fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats. The wine ages for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
It has a bright ruby red color. The nose offers complex aromas of goudron, smoked and balsamic, with nuances of cassis and blueberry that combine to define a wide and elegant olfactory profile. The taste is full and harmonious, with fine tannins and a long persistence.
Excellent with roasts, grilled red meats and in combination with game and aged cheeses.
