Description
The Fiano di Avellino by Rocca del Principe is a white wine, coming from the Lapio area in Campania. The vineyards enjoy a favorable position with exposure to the west and north-east, located on clayey soils enriched with volcanic components, ideal for the cultivation of this vine.
The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately 40 days, followed by a partial malolactic fermentation. The refinement continues in steel on fine lees for 10 months and is completed with a further period of 4 months in the bottle.
It has a straw yellow color enriched with greenish reflections. The olfactory bouquet is intense and persistent, with floral, fruity and vegetal notes. Orange blossom, fresh almond, cedar and aromatic herbs stand out, which then evolve with aging into aromas of hydrocarbons, toasted hazelnut and smoky and dried fruit nuances. On the palate it is dry, fresh and very tasty with a warm and mineral finish.
Perfect in combination with seafood, fish and shellfish dishes but also with cheeses and white meats. An ideal companion to complete the meal thanks to its freshness and minerality.
