Description
The Fiano di Avellino Riserva by Rocca del Principe is a wine produced exclusively from Fiano grapes. The vineyards are cultivated in the Lapio area, in Campania, and grow on clayey-limestone soils, on average loose, optimal for the Fiano vine.
The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October and follows a process of alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks for 40 days. The wine then matures in steel on fine lees for 18 months, with a subsequent refinement of 12 months in the bottle which further enhances its qualities.
Visually, it has a straw yellow color embellished with light greenish reflections. Floral notes emerge on the nose which harmoniously intertwine with nuances of fresh fruit and grapefruit. On the palate, the wine is markedly savory, with a citrus aftertaste and a distinctive smoky note characteristic of Fiano.
This wine pairs beautifully with seafood, fish, cheeses, white meats and pizza.
