Description
This Reserve red wine from Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza is produced in the prestigious region of Rioja, Spain, using mainly Tempranillo grapes, with the addition of Graciano and a small percentage of Viura and Malvasía skins. The grapes come from vineyards located at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria, with an average age of over 60 years.
After manual harvesting, the bunches are cooled for 24 hours in temperature-controlled cold storage rooms, and then manually selected on a sorting table. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barriques and then ages for 25 months in French oak barrels.
In the glass it presents an intense red color, while on the nose you can perceive complex aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices and delicate notes of toasted wood. On the palate, the wine is structured and full-bodied, with elegant and well-integrated tannins, which accompany a long and harmonious finish.
Perfect when paired with grilled or roasted red meats, game and mature cheeses.
