Description

The Faugères Cuvée Jadis by Domaine Leon Barral is a red wine produced in France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. This wine is obtained from a blend of Syrah, Grenache Noir and Carignan grown on shale soil. The vineyard extends for 12 hectares, with an average age of the vines of 60 years.

The vinification involves 50% destemming, spontaneous fermentation and maceration with natural yeasts for 30 days in 130 hl concrete vats. Racking is followed by malolactic fermentation and aging on the fine lees in oak barriques (10% new) for 2 years.

The Faugères Cuvée Jadis is a wine representative of its territory, persuasive and complex, with a powerful mouthfeel and tannins of great maturity. It maintains a long and fresh finish, perfectly expressing its origin.

Perfect to enjoy with sheep's roasts, even liver if you like, and with grilled meats.
